SYNOPSIS

The Yaka are one of the last Pygmies living in autarky in Congo. While men roam the rainforest to collect snakes and crocodiles, women stay in the village to take care of the family home. Beliefs and legends involve black magic and the spirits who visit dancing remove the curse. Particular emphasis is placed on births, symbols of perpetuation of the people and the couple. Akaya is pregnant and she fears what happens next, having already lost a child in childbirth. And if misfortune continued to hit her? How people react around him?
