SYNOPSIS
Lena Mahikan is a single mother who has never contemplated a return to the family home. But when her daughter Peeka, 13, made overdoses on the streets of Toronto, she must return home, find his mother, with whom she is estranged and facing a perennial sense of shame and bitterness.
